- How does your Service work?
Registering with us is similar to registering with your local GP surgery for the first time..
We ask you for your personal details, general health information and we ask you to provide further information about the condition you are requesting treatment for. When you register for the first time, you can select your preferred treatment option for our doctor to approve. Our doctor will then review the information you have provided and he will approve your treatment if suitable.

Step 3 sends you the medication to your delivery address

All information you provide us is totally confidential and your privacy is assured – just as it would be with your local GP.
To ensure complete discretion, all communication between us takes place in your secure login area and we do not send you emails of a personal nature – only message alerts telling you have a message waiting for you in your login area. You then have to login to your account with Pharmadoctor to pick up the messages.
Occasionally, we run promotional campaigns via email. You do not have to receive these and it is easy to opt out of them when you first set up your account.

Please note there is a supplementary charge for guaranteed next day delivery.
- Why are your prices higher than the treatment prices displayed on 's website?
This is a question we get asked often and is a source of confusion for some people. Basically, If you have an existing prescription from your doctor, then you can post it to
and they will send you the treatment by return. In this instance, you do not need our service and you should register with and pay for your treatments via their website. You only pay for the cost of the medication because you have already obtained the prescription from your doctor.
If you do not have an existing prescription, then our doctors can supply one subject to the treatment being suitable. Once you have registered with us, our doctor will write a prescription for you which we will then forward to on your behalf. The treatment is then sent to you directly by .
To provide this service, we add a fee to the cost of the medicine as displayed by on their website. This fee includes our doctor's prescription fee, full telephone customer support, free access to our pharmacists and doctors for follow-up advice as well as next day delivery on all products.
- What do your prices include?

- our doctor's prescription fee
- cost of the medication
- full telephone customer support
- free follow-up advice from our pharmacists and doctors

- Do I have to go through this process for a repeat prescription?
No. Once you have been approved for treatment, you will be able to request a repeat prescription instantly by logging into your account at Pharmadoctor. As all your details are already on our system, all you need to do is confirm your medical details have not changed since your last order and then place your next order.

- Is it legal?
Yes. Under British law, provided a qualified doctor writes a prescription for your condition, it is legal to obtain treatment via the internet without a face-to-face consultation.
- How does your service compare with other websites?
We compare very favourably on price versus other UK websites offering savings of up to 25%. We can offer these lower prices, not because our products or customer service are in any way inferior, but because we have relatively low overheads. When comparing prices, it is worth checking whether the service offers a discount for repeat orders as this can make a big difference in the long term cost of your medication. Pharmadoctor offers an automatic loyalty discount of £7.50 on all repeat orders and, as far as we know, this is something none of our competitors offer.
Price is not the only criteria for judging a service. The quality of customer care, particularly aftercare, is also an important consideration and this is an area in which we excel. You only need to pick up the phone and you will find our staff to be exceptionally friendly and efficient. When occasionally something goes wrong, it’s good to know the service is in place to sort it out quickly.
It is also important that you compare services which are like for like. Make sure the service is registered with the Care Quality Commission. This is the government agency that regulates all private medical services in the UK. Amongst other things, it conducts criminal record checks on the people who run the service and is responsible for ensuring that minimum professional and ethical standards are adhered to. You would be well-advised to avoid using an online service which is not registered with the Care Quality Commission.
- How do your prices compare with other "bricks and mortar" services?
If you compare us with instore pharmacy services such as Tescos and Boots, you will find our prices are a little more expensive. However, you have the benefit of not having to make an appointment or deal with a doctor/pharmacist face to face. This saves you time and money and in the end, we would say our service offers greater convenience and discretion for a reasonable price.
Compared to private clinics and doctors, you will find our prices generally cheaper.
- How can I check that your service is genuine?
Everyone knows about spam and there are countless horror stories about fake medication and people's personal data being stolen. By making a few checks, you can avoid unscrupulous operators. What are the things to look out for?
